Its festival times.
We had recently celebrated Gokulashtami, Pillayar Chathurthi, and we are going through Navaratri. The big day Deepavali is in pipeline. We do offer neivadhiyam to God and it is taken as prasadam. During Gokulashtami, we make uppu seedai, vella seedai etc and during Pillayar Chathurthi we offer Kozhukattai-both sweet and kara.
If you look at the materials that goes into making of these items, you will observe that traditionally we have been having food which is harmless and tasty. Prasadams are always good for us.
During Navaratri, we are offering neivedhiyam in the form of Sundal each day. Sundal is rich in protein and is good for health too. Children in particular need to consume sundal regularly for their health.
In this blog we will be sharing some good aspects of our food system and in particular traditional food system which is cherished as a part of our healthy existence. We will also share the ways of making food items with their recipe.
More in pipeline.
